What's the "Resources API" ?

The term "API" is the abbreviation of "application programming interface". APIs commonly allow, for example, the simple data- and/or function exchange between different applications.
The Resources API allows you to recall your own actual player data as well as other actual game data in almost realtime and to assess them in own "tools" (or tools of third-party suppliers).

The API optionally provides the data as CSV or JSON. Thanks to the API you can keep your Excel- or Google spreadsheets highly topical at any time with very little effort.
The first tools of players already arise which support the API and allow very interesting analyses in terms of profitability, price histories, etc.

For whom the API is suitable?

The API is an enrichment especially for math- and statistics enthusiasts who already keep their complex analysis spreadsheets of their own as well as of the whole Resources economy. And, of course, for all app- and web developers who want to design a great tool or an info platform.

Who isn't one for Excel- or Google sheets or databases, or is less ambitious in the processing or exposition of raw data, should await for appropriate, ready-made tools or spreadsheets to become available for the general public.
Please consider that if you commit your API key to an external tool the developer of such a tool can read or even save your API key. It's at your own discretion who or which platform you commit your key to. Even if there is no possibility to read sensitive data like eMail, passwords or the actual position via the API and the API key has no additional use or account-related connection except for the API queries (and you can also collect the most data in terms of the Resources app itself) it wouldn't necessarily be of advantage if your API keys get into the wrong hands and your API-credits would be used up by a kidder within a few minutes for "inexplicable reasons"...

How do I gain access to the API?

By buying so-called "API-credits" at the InApp store you receive your own API key and a specific number of API-credits which you can use to scan the data.
Each query costs one "API-credit".

..but what exactly is a query?

With a query you get a listing of actual and detailed information about all your conveyors, or a list of your stock and warehouse levels, or your protocol of your last trade purchases/sellings within the last 30 days, or..., or...

What data can I retrieve?

The API is likely to be expanded by a very few queries. The following queries are currently possible:

  • Amount of the remaining API-credits (you won't get charged API-credits for this query of course!)
  • List of your factories, factory levels and state
  • Your stock, warehouse levels and account balance
  • List of your special buildings and levels
  • Your HQ progress
  • List of your conveyors combined with condition, boost, tech upgrade factor, attack malus, etc.
  • Summary of the conveyors' data sorted by resources
  • Your trade protocol of the last X days (30 days max.)
  • Player information like points, level, world rank, date of registration
  • Balance information (income and expense per day, 30 days max.)
  • Attack log
  • ID list including icons for all Resources items, factories, special buildings and conveyors as well as the names in all client languages
  • Base data production
  • Base data recycling
  • Base data factory upgrade costs
  • Base data special buildings upgrade costs
  • Actual AI- and market prices (in almost realtime)

How do I scan the data?

Scanning is very simple by using a query URL and GET parameters.
